Broad-tailed hummingbirds are the most common hummingbirds found during the summer months in Rocky Mountain National Park. These small and beautiful birds can be seen skirting from wildflower to wildflower during the warmer months. The male Broad-tailed hummingbirds display beautiful coloration with their signature red gorget displayed as they hover from flower to flower.
