Welcome To Rocky

Rocky Mountain Natinoal Park, Colorado

The date was June 21st and it was snowing in Rocky Mountain National Park. The first day of summer certainly was going as expected. I had a client coming in the next morning to take a photography workshop with me. We werent sure how the following morning was going to look with the snow falling. I told him I thought there was a chance we could have some interesting light and the morning and my client decided heading out with me into RMNP would be better than hanging back at the hotel room. We drove up a snowy Trail Ridge Road all the way to Rainbow Curve where the park service had closed the road due to poor conditions. As we sat there at dawn watching the snow continue to fall it appeared we would miss out on dramatic light. Shortly after sunrise the storm started to break and shafts of light fell on the green grasses of Horseshoe Park and and Sheep Lakes far below. Snow covered McGregor Mountain and Bighorn Mountain but this was one of the most spectacular scenes I've witnessed in all my years of photographing Rocky Mountain National Park. I turned to my client as we photographed this scene and said 'Welcome to Rocky'. Photo © copyright by Thomas Mangan.

Fine Art Prints Available

I strive to produce the highest quality Fine Art Prints. My Fine Art Prints are produced on a Fuji Semi Gloss photographic paper. The image is first prepped and adjusted by the photographer to represent the most accurate representation of the image and my vision.

The image is then sent off to be printed using the latest technology. The photographic paper is exposed with either LED lights or lasers then developed in RA-4 chemistry. This is done on a Lighjet or Chromira printer. This process allows for some of the cleanest, most accurate, archival prints available today.

Ordering prints is simple, safe and secure. You may order your Fine Art Prints safely and securely using any major credit card through our PayPal managed site. You will not need to enroll in PayPal in order to purchase Fine Art Prints. Prints are typically shipped within 2 weeks of purchase.
