Approaching the Loch, one first gets a view of the Cathederal Wall on the far end of Loch Vale. Its an impressive and moving experience when climbing those last few steps and rounding the bend to see this. On this morning in RMNP, the wind was calm and the conditions were just about perfect. It's a feat to get a windless morning on the Loch but when one is lucky enough to be up here on a calm morning, its one of the most beautiful locations in all of Rocky Mountain National Park.
