I spent this particular evening at Spirit Lake photographing sunset. While waiting for sunset and enjoying all the beauty this location provides, I noticed a face in the rocks above the lake. I had to do a double take. I've photographed Spirit Lake before, but had never noticed the feature. As the last glint of sunlight was hitting the slope in front of the feature I made a few images. Spirit Lake is an amazing location in Rocky Mountain National Park. Spending time in solitary at the lake is very much a spiritual experience, having this feature watching over the lake makes it even more mysterious. Photo © copyright by Thomas Mangan.
