Far into the backcountry of Rocky Mountain National Park, on the backside of Flattop Mountain and descent down into the North Inlet runs Hallett Creek. Depending on if you are headed to Grand Lake or the Bear Lake trailhead and forward to Estes Park your legs are either burning at this point or really happy for the downhill descent. Hallett Creek is filled with large boulders on this steep portion of the mountain and Hallett Creek happily meanders through the boulders and stones that line the stream.
