Nestled above the East Meadow and below Lake Verna, Lone Pine Lake is a great stopping point to take a break or grab lunch on when of the large rocks along the shore. At one point, there was apparently a single pine tree that clung to this rocky island found in the middle of Lone Pine Lake. There are a few more now but its still a very cool aesthetic to see this rocky island with a few pine trees figuring out how to thrive on the thin rocky soil.
