What an amazing morning this was. I hiked up to The Loch predawn knowing that the weather could get sporty around sunrise. You never know how these things will work out but you are always excited to give it a shot. I arrived at The Loch long before sunrise and enjoyed the view of Loch Vale while waiting to see what would unfold. Showers and rain moved in right at sunrise and Taylor Peak and the Cathedral Wall showed hints of red just as the rain moved. It quickly started raining after I made this photograph but hiking out in the rain and drizzle made it all the more amazing. Rocky Mountain National Park never disappoints.
