Walking Through The Alluvium

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

On July 15th, 1982 the dam that was holding Lawn Lake back failed. Water from Lawn Lake rushed down the Roaring River and flooded Estes Park. When the water rushed down the Roaring River it deposited soil and rocks known as alluvium where the Roaring River meets Horseshoe Park. A similar event occurred during the floods of 2013 when starting on September 11, 2013, heavy rains caused the Roaring River again to flood and wash out the bridge over the river just south of Alluvial Fan Falls. The National Park Service over the next few years worked diligently to repair the trails and replace the bridge washed away in 2013. The work the NPS trail crews perform in Rocky Mountain National Park is nothing short of amazing. These craftsman use basic tools to install and create some beautiful structures such as the new bridge over the Roaring River. On this December morning, a light snow is falling on Rocky Mountain National Park as the sun rises to the east behind Deer Mountain. Photo © copyright by Thomas Mangan.

Fine Art Prints Available

I strive to produce the highest quality Fine Art Prints. My Fine Art Prints are produced on a Fuji Semi Gloss photographic paper. The image is first prepped and adjusted by the photographer to represent the most accurate representation of the image and my vision.

The image is then sent off to be printed using the latest technology. The photographic paper is exposed with either LED lights or lasers then developed in RA-4 chemistry. This is done on a Lighjet or Chromira printer. This process allows for some of the cleanest, most accurate, archival prints available today.

Ordering prints is simple, safe and secure. You may order your Fine Art Prints safely and securely using any major credit card through our PayPal managed site. You will not need to enroll in PayPal in order to purchase Fine Art Prints. Prints are typically shipped within 2 weeks of purchase.
