Scrub Oak displays vibrant reds, orange and yellows amongst the remaining skeletons of Pinyon Pine trees which were burned by large fires which have burned over much of the area of Mesa Verde National Park. Mesa Verde National Park is very well known for its Ancestral Pueblo ruins that remain in pristine conditon. I was at Mesa Verde with the intention of photographing the many ruis and sites but the fall color I found in amongst the Scrub Oaks was some of the most colorful foilage I've ever photographed in Colorado.
