A once in a lifetime sunrise errupts in the skies over Rocky Mountain National Park. High winds aloft formed beatiful streaming lenticular clouds in the skies over Longs Peak and Bierstadt Lake which once illuminated by the rising sun over the high plains of Colorado made the skies look as if they were on fire. The lenticular clouds changed shapes and shading as the sun rose to the east and if you look on the left side of the photo, one cloud in particular has taken the shape of an eagle rising up through the firey clouds like a real life phoenix.
